2.5.0 released on 24. September 2026

Fewer false alarms: a sign or a parked car is no longer reported as a visitor, and a face too small to recognise no longer counts as a suspected photo. A photo held up to the camera no longer triggers your rules, and a rule can require a passed liveness check. In Home Assistant every camera now shows whether somebody is there and when they were last seen, and a new version is announced there too. Also fixes photos outliving your retention, and settings lost on a standalone update.

2.4.0 released on 16. September 2026

FaceStream.AI now brings its cameras into Home Assistant by itself: switch on Home Assistant discovery in an MQTT connection, and each camera becomes a device with what it recognises, the last face and a button to start a recognition. A camera that stops delivering shows as unavailable. Rules can now report the same person once per pause or once per time window, and only on the days you choose. Also fixes visits that stayed open while no camera was delivering.

2.3.0 released on 15. September 2026

Add camera now finds cameras on your network and fills in the details once you sign in. Each camera gets its own recognition settings, and your current values carry over. Events can be filtered by camera and shows which camera took each photo. Rules no longer wait for each other, so one unresponsive receiver delays only its own rule. Also fixes image links in messages, which now open without signing in, and page controls lingering under short lists in Events.
