Use Home Assistant’s MQTT integration and a broker reachable by both systems. FaceStream discovery exposes devices and events; filter them in your automation.

For example, configure Home Assistant to select a welcome scene when a known family member arrives. An unknown-person event can feed a separate notification automation.

Install FaceStream on suitable local hardware, connect a camera and enrol a person. MQTT and Home Assistant discovery require Pro or higher. Pro and Business trial licences are available on request.

Before you decide

Is Home Assistant discovery included in Free?

No. Free provides UDP. The MQTT connection, including Home Assistant discovery, requires Pro or higher. Request a time-limited trial to evaluate it.

Does local recognition mean no outgoing connections?

Recognition is local. Updates, licence activation where required and external notification services are separate data flows. You can review these before installation.
